If you guys could spare a dollar or two for this it would be money well spent. I got a real soft spot for dogs and cats. Here's the back story (donation link is in the right margin):
"Some of you may have already heard, but we felt it important to let everyone know that on Sunday night, our apartment caught fire and we lost everything, including one of our beloved cats, Riggs. Our other cat, Doakes, is in intensive care at the VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital in stable condition. He is struggling for his life, though the doctors are saying that his outlook is promising.
Kyle and I are staying with friends and are doing ok. We have clothes that friends have generously given us and we are so thankful to have such amazing people in our lives.
Fortunately, we do have pet insurance, but this may only cover half the bill and we have to pay in full before we get to take him with us. Even the smallest amount will help. If you aren't able to help monetarily, please just send positive thoughts his way and/or forward this info on to other people. That would be tremendous.
